The binding agreement governing your use of ForgeJournal and related services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and an independent individual developer trading under the name "ForgeStudio FX" ("we", "us"), governing your use of the ForgeJournal mobile application and any related websites or services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
An account is optional — ForgeJournal works fully on your device without one. If you create an account to back up your trades, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.
ForgeJournal is currently free to use and supported by advertising.
We may introduce optional paid features (such as broker auto-sync, advanced analytics, and removing ads) in the future. Any such purchase would be sold and billed by Google Play, and we would not store any credit card or bank details. If and when paid features launch, the applicable pricing and cancellation terms will be shown in the app and on Google Play.
If and when paid features are offered, refunds will be handled under Google Play's policies. A refund requested within 48 hours of a charge is generally processed automatically by Google Play. For any other request, email support@forgestudiofx.com with subject "Refund Request" and your reason.
ForgeJournal is a personal record-keeping and self-analysis tool. Nothing in it is financial, investment, or trading advice, and we are not a broker, dealer, fund manager, or investment adviser.
The statistics, summaries, and notes in the app are derived from the trades you yourself record; they describe your own past activity and are not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any instrument, nor a prediction of future results.
Trading foreign exchange, gold, and other margined financial instruments carries a high level of risk and can result in the loss of your capital. You alone are responsible for every trade you place. Always consult a licensed financial adviser in your jurisdiction and only trade with capital you can afford to lose.

Violations may result in suspension, termination, and refusal of refunds. Severe violations may be reported to law-enforcement authorities.
The Service, including its source code, design, trademarks ("ForgeJournal", "ForgeStudio FX", and related logos), and all content we provide, is owned by us (trading as ForgeStudio FX) and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. Your own trade entries, notes, and attached images remain yours.
The Service uses third-party providers for cloud hosting and authentication, market data, error monitoring, advertising, and (if paid features launch) app-store payments. Your use of these services through ForgeJournal is also subject to their respective terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, TRADING LOSSES, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us (trading as ForgeStudio FX) harmless from and against any claim, damage, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms or for any reason at our reasonable discretion. You may terminate at any time by deleting your account in the app under Settings → Account, or simply by uninstalling the app. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall first be attempted in good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 60 days, the dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Vietnam.
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed to limit any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to active users by email and via an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
